Alice Wambui Gichumu and Boniface Kariuki Nganga have been accused of land fraud exceeding Sh 15 million.

The charges involve fraudulent activities related to land transactions.

Two people have been charged with over Sh 15 land fraud. Alice wambui Gichumu,Boniface Kariuki Nganga and Exceeding Grace Company Limited. They charged that on diverse dates between November 1, 2016, and February 13, 2020, at Ambank house in Nairobi within Nairobi County.

conspired jointly with others not before the court with intent to defraud obtained from John Gakero NgurePauline MbuguaFrancis Wainaina NjauSophia Nyambura, Nelson MuriukiHenry KimaniFrancis WainainaPhilip MwangiJohn MungaiMary Wanjiru Kapaito and James Saiteu Kapaito a sum of Sh 14,741,000.

They are said to have pretended that they were in a position to purchase their land in Rumuti, a fact they knew to be false. They were also charged with obtaining money by false pretence obtained from Peter Njuguna Sh 1.5M pretending that he was in a position to purchase for him 5 acres of land at Rumuruti knowing it was false.

They were also charged with obtaining Sh 1.5 and another 100,000 from Grace Njeri Mbugua, and Sophia Nyambura pretending that they would sell them 5 acres and 0.5 acres of land at Rumuti knowing it was untrue. They denied the charges before Magistrate Robinson Ondieki and are awaiting a bail ruling.

They have been remanded till Friday when the bail ruling will be read.
