The acting police IG Gilbert Masengeli was on Monday, September 9th 2024 found guilty of contempt of court after snubbing court summons at least six times.

Masengeli received the numerous summons to explain the circumstances that led to the disappearance of three people in Kitengela. The three were allegedly abducted two weeks ago on August 19th.

In his ruling, high court judge Lawrence Mugambi said Masengeli has held the court to ransom and it was becoming difficult to ascertain what could have happened to the petitioners.
