Ex Samburu Governor to appear in court in Sh84.8m case
Former Samburu Governor, Moses Lenolkulal Kasaine is expected to appear in Court tomorrow to defend himself in Sh 84.8 million fuel graft case.
Kasaine who is charged alongside other 13 accused persons will appear in court for a mention of the corruption case to confirm progress of the trial tomorrow.
They are charged with conspiracy to commit an offence of corruption, abuse of office and conflict of interest.
The said allegations relate to unlawful payment of Ksh 84.8 millions for fuel supplied to the County Government of Samburu by Oryx Service Station an enterprise that belongs to Mr. Kasaine.
In the case the former Governor is charged alongside the former county secretary Stephen Letinina, former chief finance officer Daniel Lenolkirina and former chief officer in charge of environment and natural resources Josephine Lenasalia.
Others are former Chief officer in charge of agriculture Reuben Lemunyete, education’s Linus Lenolngenje, transport’s Paul Lolmingani, lands’ Bernard Lesurmat, former head of supply chain management Geoffrey Kitewan and Lilian Balanga.
