A Chinese national Ku Ming Hung was today arraigned in a Nairobi Court facing charges of obtaining millions of money by false pretenses.
Ku Ming Hung was charged that on August 8, 2023 at Nairobi CBD with intent to defraud, obtained Ksh 5 million from his fellow Country man Shao Da Lin Qiang.
On August 8, 2023, in the central business district of Nairobi, Ku Ming Hung faced charges for allegedly engaging in fraudulent activities. It is claimed that he intended to deceive and, as a result, unlawfully acquired a sum of Ksh 5 million from his compatriot, Shao Da Lin Qiang.
He is said to have falsely pretended that he was in a position to incorporate him into a Casino business within Nairobi.
Shao Da Lin Qiang fell to the trick and forwarded the money to Ku Ming Hung’s account only for Ku Ming Hung to vanish into thin air.
He was later arrested from his hideout and arraigned before Principal Magistrate Gilbert Shikwe where he denied the charges and was released on Ksh 1 million bond.
